NOTICE
Please be aware that due to the current Coronavirus outbreak
all our events have been cancelled until further notice.
************************* The Shetland Stroke Support Group has
been in existence since the 16th
of December 2004 with the first of its official activities and the election of
the first committee.
Shetland Stroke Support Group is an independent group,
with its own Constitution and committee. It is affiliated with Chest, Heart and
Stroke Scotland and, as such, is registered as a Scottish Charity.
The group has been set up with funding from the National Lottery, and we provide
support for stroke sufferers, their families and carers. Stroke sufferers can
feel very isolated and marginalised, and we aim to provide social interaction
and support, as well as advice and information. We hold monthly meetings,
organise outings and fund raising events, and have a diary of events planned.
The group is very friendly and informal, and transport for events and
meetings can be provided if required. Thank you for visiting our website Dorothy Storey
